What is your mission statement?
My calling is to encourage and
challenge Christians in their walk with Christ, and experience the joy
of the Lord as we grow deeper in our faith. I also have a deep desire
to share the good news of the Gospel with those who have not yet asked
Jesus Christ into their lives as Lord and Savior.

What is your
musical style, and which Christian artists have influenced you the most?
In order to minister to the widest range of Christians, I sing in both contemporary
and traditional styles of Christian music. With a classical background,
but with a leaning toward adult contemporary, my musical style is very similar to the inspirational styles
of Steve Green and Michael Card.
I invite you to explore sound clips from both my albums on my
Albums/Sound Clips page. You'll probably also
detect the influence of
the songs of Sandi Patti, Larnelle Harris and Michael Card.
As a
vocalist, I seek to be relevant, rather than radical. Whether I'm writing
songs or researching new material to sing, I seek to perform music that has a universal
appeal. With songs firmly grounded in the Word, and sung with deep
feeling and expression, my utmost desire is to reflect the
Lord in my life and in my music.

Do
you have people who I can contact for a recommendation?
Yes: please see my Testimonials page for what people have been saying
about my music ministry and my albums. If you'd like specific recommendations, I would
be happy to provide you with a list of people that you may contact.

What events or venues are you able to perform for?
I am available to sing for your church's morning, evening or midweek
services as a vocal soloist or worship leader, and I can provide
anything from a single solo to a full concert. I've also sung for
women's luncheons, and even for the occasional church barbecue. Your
church may have fellowship groups, women's or singles ministries, or
even a retreat that needs special music. Do any of your ministries have
a financial need? Consider a benefit concert: I recently gave a concert
for a church that had been destroyed by fire, raising $3700 for their
rebuilding fund.
Some artists shy
away from small churches or audiences, but for me, the ministry is more
important than the size of the gathering. I've sung for as few as six
and as many as a thousand, so even if your congregation or event is small, don't
let this hinder you. Whether it be a small informal
gathering at home or a major concert at your church, I am available to
meet your need.
Keep me in mind also for any traditional music needs, such as weddings
or memorial services. Should you need a professional quality violist for
either solo work or for a church musical or cantata, or as a choral or
orchestral conductor, I'm available on a short-term or substitute basis.
No matter what the need of your church or organization, I will be
flexible in meeting both your musical and spiritual requirements.

What kind of technical/sound requirements do you have?
If your church or facility has a microphone and its own sound system
capable of playing CD accompaniment tracks, that usually works best. If
you do not have this, no problem! I have my own equipment, and my
wife Kathy assists me by running the sound board, so all that's really
needed are two electrical outlets. Should you prefer live keyboard accompaniment, this can be
arranged for an additional fee. Likewise, if your event would prefer a
live worship band, or if you'd like me to work with your own band or worship team, this
can also be arranged.

What fees are involved in having you sing for my church or
organization?
For church services or concerts, basic fees
range from $50 to $150 depending the number of services, number of solos,
or length of time you require. If you prefer live accompaniment, I can
provide this for an additional
fee, or you may provide your accompanist if you wish. Fees may also vary depending on distance
traveled and lodging. For a full concert of worship, either a flat rate
may be arranged or a free-will offering taken. If you are hosting a benefit concert for a
non-profit organization, please see below for special rates.
These fees also assume that you will allow albums to be available for
purchase at your event. Although not usually a problem, I am sensitive
to how some churches view album sales after church
services. If this is the case, please let me know in advance so that
any special arrangements can be made. For example, if I were to sing at a morning
service where no albums would be available, this could be done in conjunction with
an evening concert where album sales would be permissible.

I would like to host a performance to benefit a non-profit organization. How can you help?
If you are hosting a concert in which a free-will offering or paid
admission will be received to benefit a non-profit organization, a
special option is available to you regarding performance fees. Instead
of a fixed rate, the fee may be determined as a percentage (usually
15%) of the gross receipts. In other words, you're protected from
incurring any losses, should donations fail to meet your expectations.
However, with ample promotion, donations should easily meet or exceed
your expectations.

If we'd like you to present a concert, how do we go about promoting it?
A critical factor in hosting a successful concert lies in the promotion.
To assist you with this, I can provide you with posters, flyers, press
releases - anything that will help you draw a larger audience. This will
save you time and aggravation, and will help bring about a successful
concert for your church or organization.
